This is an outreach initiative to assist band music educators around the world. The goal is to provide commentary and answers to pedagogical questions from the University of Illinois Band faculty and/or from the applied wind/brass/percussion studios. The page will be managed by veteran educator and UI Band faculty member Dr. Linda Moorhouse. This outreach service to band music educators is easy to use. Simply fill out the form below. Dr. Moorhouse will screen questions and post selected questions along with commentary from University of Illinois faculty.
Questions selected for posting to the site will be anonymous to encourage anyone to feel free in asking a band pedagogy question. Although the turnaround time between questions and answers can not be predicted given the ebb and flow of various faculty schedules, your e-mail will be read and responded to via reply e-mail as soon as possible and many will be posted to this page to help others. The page will be refreshed automatically to display only the most recent ten questions/responses although a record of questions and responses will be kept on file.
