February 17–18, 2017
Join the University of Illinois band faculty and special guest Steven Davis in this two-day symposium which includes conducting, rehearsal techniques, repertoire, pedagogy, and educational philosophy. Dr. Davis currently conducts the Wind Ensemble at the University of Missouri Kansas CIty Conservatory of Music. He has quickly made his mark as one of the leading conducting teachers and pedagogues in the wind band world today. Not only will you have the opportunity to work with outstanding musicians, you will meet new people, make new friends, and establish network contacts while broadening your musical and educational framework. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend a concert by the Illinois Wind Symphony on Friday night.
