Basketball Bands

The University of Illinois Bands has a long lasting tradition of excellence and its basketball bands are no exception. The University of Illinois Basketball Bands perform at all of the Illinois home basketball games for both the men's and the women's teams. The bands are divided into "Orange,"  "Blue," and "Illini" equal bands and each consist of 47 wind players, 2 drum set players, 1 guitar player, 1 bass guitar player, and 1 keyboard player.  Members with the highest rankings in performance and service are selected to play post-season tournament appearances.   

Does not fulfill major ensemble requirement for music majors.

*All ensembles are open to music majors and non-majors based on audition.
