Audition
excerpts are posted online and selected ones are in the main hallway of
Placement/seating auditions for the Concert and Symphonic Bands is a multi-tier process at the beginning of each fall and spring semester. Brass Band placement (Spring term only) has a prerequisite of participation in one of the Concert and Symphonic Bands.
Following the 1st ROUND auditions for Symphonic Bands/Concert Band I there will be required re-audition for Symphonic Band II and Concert Band I: Students not placed in Wind Symphony or Symphonic Band I are asked to audition for Symphonic Band II and Concert Band I Tuesday, August 25th between 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm; students not placed in either Symphonic Bands or Concert Band I after both auditions (Rounds 1 and 2) are asked to audition for either section of Concert Band II Wednesday, August 26th. If your name is not included in any of these lists after the audition series, please contact the instructor for one of the sections of Concert Band II, meeting at 10:00 am or 11:00 am MWF in Room 141 Harding Band Building.
